Johnston, smashed the British record for flat winners in a season and enjoyed international success in the WEMPE German One Thousand Guineas Gr.2 with Main Edition

He had seven runners-up in Group Ones but his last Group One win was in September 2016 with The Last Lion in the Gr.1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes.

Johnston's stable star, Gr.1 St. Leger runner-up Sir Ron Priestley may be his route to Group One glory once again, who will be aimed at races in Australia, following the success and popularity of Dee Ex Bee.

Despite that, Johnston's main aim is still a top-flight triumph, and he names Nayef RoadRaffle Prize, and Rose of Kildare among his best chances.

However, he believes his primary job is to get the best out of every horse in the yard and will not be taking any risks in pursuit of another record-breaking year.
