Glorious Goodwood - Lennox Stakes and Goodwood Gold Cup
Glorious Goodwood off to a great start with the lords and ladies in their balconies or the grassy paddock. The two most awaited races of the day are the Lennox Stakes and the Goodwood Gold Cup. Some superb entries have made the final racecard for the day.
Although Limato and Labreeza Breeze both offer tough competition to Aclaim. Although the extra furlong is not likely to bother Limato, he would probably prefer the ground to be faster. Whereas Aclaim won both his previous starts over the distance. Although this is a tougher race, he's like to beat the odds to win the Lennox Stakes. Ideally he should be followed by Limato and Home Of The Brave.
Big Orange is the favourite for the Goodwood Gold Cup, and he is the boy who wants to win this the 3rd time as well. He's in his best form this year. He’s likely to be taken on for the lead and he is at his best on fast ground. If he runs to his Ascot form he will win. But is he. Wicklow Brave is likely to be the horse who stole the thunder in this one. He beat Order Of St George in last season’s Irish St Leger and the fast ground should very much suit him. Queen’s Vase winner Stradivarius also likely to offer tough competition. SW's editor expects, Wicklow brave to win, followed by Stradivarius and then Big Orange.
