Preview: Ninth Race Meeting – Dubai World Cup Carnival
The Dubai World Cup Carnival has captured the attention across the world and as the date closes to the World Cup the exciting has only being going up. Come the First day of March we will have another great race meeting on our hands. The UAE Oaks Race Meeting at the Dubai World Cup Carnival will include seven races. The highlights of the day are the Gr.3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy, Gr3UAE Oaksand the Gr.1 Al Maktoum Challenge R3 (PA) race. Prizes to be given out throughout the seven races are worth more USD 1 Million.
Al Maktoum Challenge R3 (Gr1; PA)
This definitely is the most talked about event of the day as this a 3rd race in the Al Maktoum Challenge. With horses like Barnamaj, Paddy's Day, Cakouet De Bozouls, Al HantarMonlau & AfMahshoum who come is this race with recent wins under their belts, but the real challenge is who outperforms the other in this round 3 of the Al Maktoum Challenge.

So far the list has 20 names with horses that have performed really well in their last couple of races. Horses like Zaman, Wasim, Centenary Diamond, El Chapo, Arroway, Thunderbolt Rocks and Nordic Defense. Will the win go to Appleby, F Nass, N Petersen, I Mohammed or A bin Harmash that is the question.

UAE Oaks (Gr3):
With only 6 horses in the lineup this one should be very interesting. The three out six horses - Bin Suroor trained Winter Lightning, Watson trained Rayya and Appleby trained Expressiy, come in this race with great performances in this Dubai World Cup Carnival. These 3 horses have the numbers 1, 2 and 3 respectively in the last 2 races The 1000 Guineas and The UAE 1000 Guineas, but they both have been a 1600m and 1400m races respectively. The time of challenge has come to see who can last the longest and get the better of his opponents.
