Inglis showcases its Melbourne Yearling Sale – Book 1 & 2 between March 4 and 7^th. will be held at Oaklands Junction. The catalogue features 770 yearlings, 505 of which are Super VOBIS nominated and 339 BOBS eligible. Of the total, 541 horses are Victorian Bred. That’s almost 70% of the total lot. Among the inclusion in the catalogue are half and full relatives of 88 Stakes winners, and also included are progeny of 103 Stakes-winning mares.

Day 1 will showcase a total of 160 lots. Day 2 will showcase 202 lots and Day 3 will showcase another lot of 202 horses. Day 4 brings out the Book 2 with a total of 206 horses.

Since the catalogue of 770 yearlings went to print last year, there have been a significant amount of pedigree updates.

They include:

• Lot 44 (Pins x Romancing colt). His half sister Love Affair finished second in the Group 2 Isuzu Stakes on February 16
• Lot 95 (Danerich x Simulation colt). His half brother Cliff’s Edge won the Group 3 Manfred Stakes on February 3 and finished second in the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes on February 17
• Lot 132 (Savabeel x Swansea colt). His half sister Rimraam won the Group 3 Vanity Stakes on February 17
• Lot 211 (Star Witness x War Attitude colt). His half brother Obrigado Mais won the Listed Macau Spring Trophy on January 20
• Lot 300 (Rubick x Charm’s Honour colt). His half sister Enbihaar won the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude on February 10 and finished second in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes on February 24
• Lot 312 (Wandjina x Consistency colt). His half brother Prairie Fire won the Listed Asian Executive Stakes on February 17
• Lot 394 (Deep Field x Freestyle colt). His half brother House of Fun finished third in the Group 3 Bauhinia Sprint on January 7

There are 120 stallions represented led by Written Tycoon (49), Toronado (44), Zoustar (39) and Reward For Effort (25) while 23% of the catalogue is filled by progeny of the 26 First Season Sires represented including Group 1 racetrack performers Puissance de Lune, Dissident, Proisir, Wandjina and Adelaide.
