The Melbourrrne Gold sale is exactly that, an opportunity to find golden nuggets, demonstrated in the past by the likes of Group 1 winner Malaguea (cost A$32k, has won A$1.9m), Group 1-placed I’ll Have A Bit (cost A$48k, won A$676k), Lyuba (cost A$2k, has won A$445k), Sirbible (cost A$3.5k, won A$326k) and Desert Lashes (cost A$3k, has won A$370k).

This year, 261 yearlings have been catalogued including 137 Super VOBIS-nominated yearlings and 105 BOBS eligible youngsters. In 2018, the Highest (Lot 248) attracted a price of A$120,000.
