It was a fantastic day for champion jockey Frankie Dettori who guided Stradivarius to a second successive Gold Cup victory at Royal Ascot.
It was a seventh Gold Cup triumph for Dettori and the in-form jockey won the first three races on Ladies' Day.

Dee Ex Bee started of in the lead and continued to do so until the final furlongs. Initially Stradivarius was boxed in but with Dettori’s expert guidance when a gap opened up he quickly took the lead.
The son of Sea The Stars, romped home, winning by one length becoming the first horse to win successive Gold Cups at Ascot since Yeats completed four in a row in 2009.
The Mark Johnston-trained Dee Ex Bee finished a nose ahead of shot Master Of Reality in third. While multi Group One winning Cross Counter finished a gallant fourth, beaten 1-3/4 lengths.
